Be Yourself.

Today was a slow, hard day. Not gonna lie.
I went to my dentist appointment, came home after my job, changed into my pajamas, and I just cried.
I don't even really know why. Maybe lonliness. Possibly hunger. Probably both.
So I put some of my old movies (Runaway Bride, You've Got Mail, ya know. Stuff like that) into my dinosaur t.v. in the basement, and just thought.

What would it be like to be that girl who gets called and texted every 5 minutes? You know who I'm talking about. I'll bet almost everybody knows somebody like that. That person who is gorgeous on the outside but (it seems like) has different personalities around different people? The one who gets invited to all the cool parties right in front of you, and talks about it even when you aren't invited?
That's when I realized that I don't want to be like that. (I was near the end of You've Got Mail at that point. Love that movie.)
I realized that I don't need to turn myself into somebody I'm not for just one person. I need to find those friends out there who want to hang out with who I am on the inside.
So guess what? I'm a loner. Yup, that's me.

I wear my pajamas around the house, and
firmly believe that cereal is a 24/7 food.
I actually LOVE salad,
I speak fluently in movie quotes and
I'm not organized like my mom. At all.
I can't wake up to my alarm clock, and
I think that the cookie dough is better than the actual cookie.

That's me. And you know what? I'm actually ok with that.

WORDS TO LIVE BY. Right there.
Anyways, just wanna end on the note that you should be yourself. Never ever change for somebody else. EVER.

My Firework-less Fourth.

That is a seriously depressing title. No fireworks. No fire. Not a single sparkler. But WE got an exception. (: I'll tell you about it down the road. Somewhere.

Ok. Where to start... Ahaha oh yes. Ok.

Day 1
So we're driving up to Heber,

and right when we passed this:
My sister yells into my ear, "Madison! That's it! That's where Bigfoot lives!!"

Why thank you Gracie. Gotta love the enthusiasm... kinda...
Anyhoo, so when we got there it was pretty late, but we started unloading.

My mom had told us we were going camping.
Now that's my kinda camping. (;
We also had one mean Set competition then finished the day off with a cookie (:

Day 2
Both days were filled with fun activities, and today there happened to be some free time.
Now we all know what that means: shopping!
Well we went to a store to get ice, and Gracie insisted that I take a picture of these mini cacti.

There. A picture of mini cacti. But for 2 bucks? Not too shabby...

We also found this humongo flag made out of soda.
holy cannoli.
(Get it? CANnoli? Ahaha, I am so punny. ha.)
So we were off. And when walking out of another store, what did we find?

I know. It literally makes my entire life.
Admit it. If you had seen this, you would have wanted to ride it too.
No seriously, how many of you have actually seen a giant-pumba-insert-a-coin-and-ride machine before!?
Yup. Just as I thought.

Moving on now.
After we went back to the cabins, we had dinner and a concert waiting for us.
Don't worry, they were just setting up when we got there.

The concert was started off by an amazing singer named Breanne "Breezy" Osborn.

(The picture on the far left is of an album that she made a few years ago)
After the concert/cleanup, we had an amazing flag ceremony where we retired a giant flag. Oh yeah.

And this is why we were able to light a fire.

yup.

The flag was too big to burn all in one go, so they cut it up into four rectangles.

The blue corner with the stars was burned last while we sang the National Anthem.
But my video won't load up. Grr.
Anyways, it was such a spiritual experience.

Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July Weekend!

Me: ...When was the last time you had a yard sale...?

Gracie: Last year.

Me: Oh, did you make a lot of money?

Gracie: I made a dollar.

Me: Well it was nice talking to you.

Gracie: I'm leaving?

Me: Yeah you're done.

Gracie: You lied!

Me: No I didn't, I told you we were done.

Gracie: You told me you were looking up Squirt the turtle!

Update: My Summer? Well...

I have a good explanation. Really. I've been sick for the last two weeks which has ruined all of my plans and I've been cooped up and it's driving me crazy and I can't take this any longer!!!!
.....
Waffles anybody?

 It's waffle wednesday. Joy.

Anyhoo, right now I'm going to do some catching-up with my blog.
So as you know Sunday was Father's Day.

Why yes. We got him chips for father's day.
And he is obviously super depressed about this...

My gift... A Father Survival Kit. Lets just say I've done better and move on, ok?

Next: She's The Man.
Holy Freak Yes.
Thank goodness for Clearplay.
I can't believe I've never seen it until now.
Crime to humanity, ladies.
Go see it if you haven't. Seriously.

And now I will show you a picture that was one of the best. nights. ever.
HOLY AWESOMENESS OVERLOAD.

Ok, I'm done.
Now go do something cool. And watch She's The Man sometime. And have a great Wednesday.

I have always wanted, no joke, to wear a tutu in public. Seriously.

Rememer we are making this the best summer ever. Kapeesh?

Thats Show Biz.

I want to be an actress when I grow up. Yup. So I was practicing for an audition when my dad and brother started bugging me... So I told them to try it.

And they did just a swell job, I tell you. *eyeroll*
