... or literally stumble along, in my case.
Ok. Here's the 411. (don't even know what that means, but it sounds pretty pro, so im going to use it anyways.)
If you want a reason to laugh, be entertained, or gasp, read on.
So yesterday was a banner day alright.
As I woke up, I looked at the clock and saw that it read 8:04.
Great. And right when I was about to turn back over and skip first period, I remembered that it was the day of presidential testing in gym (which is my first period.)
Whoops.
So I panicked. And let me tell ya. It is not a pretty sight when I panic.
I shoved my hair up into a messy bun, grabbed a handful of pretzels, and ran out the door.
Now, not only did I forget a lunch, but I also forgot my phone and a jacket. Just lovely.
When I got to the gym, they were just finishing up the presidentials. I walked up to the coach and handed him my late slip, then slid into the back of the small line for sit and reach.
Then came the shuttle run. And this is where disaster strikes.
He said we could volunteer, or he would just call us up randomly. So after about the sixth person he called, I volunteered to get it over with.
Not the best idea.
On my second way back, I heard him say to the other girls in the backround "You guys are taking such tiny steps." And yes, that was exactly what I was doing taking tiny steps.
Anyways, so as I was running back to get the other cone, I turfed it.
Yup. I fell right on my face. Great way to start off the day.
And yes, I do have a gigantic purple bruise on my knee to prove it.
I'll spare you the rest of the story (but those of you lucky peeps who are in my gym class saw the end....)
But all I want you to take from this is that there's only one way to get through life. And that my friend, is by laughing.
For those of you who know me, you know that I love to laugh, and smile, because hey! Who doesn't like to smile!?
But really, I want to challenge everyone to just laugh.
When you trip and fall on your face in front of a boy you like, just crack a joke and smile.
If you lose something really important and cannot find it for the life of you, just take a deep breath and realize that it's going to be alright.
When your car gets stuck and you can't figure out how to get it out of the snow, just look up at the snowflakes and laugh.
I love Marjorie Pay Hinckley, so here's a little tidbit of fabulous from her.
Have a marvelous Thursday everybody.
